About Susie


Susie has more than two decades of experience as an enterprise reputation strategist and trusted advisor to the C-Suite, shaping decisions that protect brand integrity and enable growth. 

For ten years she sat at the center of how a top consumer brand and Fortune 40 company managed challenging social and political issues and responded to crises. She led Target’s enterprise-wide issues management program to anticipate, prepare for, and respond to issues that had the potential to impact its reputation. She is a proven leader in managing high-stakes issues, aligning cross-functional teams, and navigating volatility to safeguard reputation and advance business objectives.

At Mile 27, Susie helps clients translate complex external dynamics, including policy, politics, and societal trends into actionable strategies that mitigate risk and strengthen resilience. She leads teams through risk assessments, scenario planning, stakeholder identification and mapping, external landscape analysis, risk tolerance discussions and more.

Previously Susie held public affairs and issues management positions across organization types, including corporations, agencies, non-profits and government including Honeywell, Himle Rapp & Company, National Journal Group and U.S. Senator Susan Collins. 

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Politics from Princeton University and lives in the suburbs of Minneapolis with her husband, two teenage sons and her Bernese Mountain Dog, Bodhi
